McIntosh Laboratory was established in 1949 and is based in Binghamton, New York. Its products are closely associated with American high-end audio, combining powerful circuit designs with enduring construction and a distinctive appearance. The illuminated logo, black glass fascia and blue watt meters have become visual signatures of McIntosh equipment.
