Sound Field Shaper & The Voice Of Sonus Faber
This rear facing mid and high loudspeaker system is developed to make the music reproduction as natural as possible and precisely control the dimensionality and perceived size of the sound-stage. The listener will be able to optimize the Sound Field Shaper according to personal taste and listening room characteristics.
Mid and high frequencies that make the "Voice Of Sonus Faber" are here determined by a 28mm silk dome tweeter with "Arrow Point" DAD (Damped Apex Dome), implemented with a natural wood acoustic labyrinth rear chamber, and a midrange M18XTR-04 with cellulose pulp cone and Neodymium motor system. This iconic configuration of tweeter and midrange maintain the effortless, warm and involving timber that has become our trademark.
Tuned Mass Damper & The Stealth Ultraflex System
The TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) is a device normally used in the world’s biggest skyscrapers and consists in some suspended masses placed inside of the speakers; while vibrating in antiphase, the TMD erases main vibrations and allows a clearer bass reproduction and a better silence reproduction.
This patented system allows a great reduction of the THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) and a better bass extension while eliminating spurious vibration coming from the air passage inside the reflex duct and allowing a reduction of dimensions of acoustic chambers.
Neodymium Magnet System
The most radical among the new changes of Aida is the selection of all-new driver systems, all of them featuring a Neodymium motor system that the "Ultra dynamic linearity" characteristic.
Zero Vibration Transmission
The purpose of this technology is decoupling the loudspeaker system from the ground, avoiding spurious vibration to spread in the listening environment. Springs and elastomers are placed on the base; their decoupling compliance is carefully calculated in reason of the weight of the speaker and allows a more powerful performance of the down firing infrawoofer and a perfect tuning of the entire loudspeaker system.
