Designed and engineered at our world-famous Acoustic Engineering Center of Excellence in Northridge, California, the Stage 220P is 500W and is the most powerful subwoofer in the Stage Series and delivers the low frequency excitement that customers crave. This subwoofer features a high excursion 12-inch (300mm) Polycellulose low-frequency woofer with dual rear firing tuned ports that provides deep, powerful, signature JBL bass. A full complement of controls provides for easy system integration.
Rear-Mounted Volume, Crossover, Phase, and Power Controls The rear mounted controls include a variable low-pass 50-150Hz crossover, so it can be dialed in precisely under the main channels and the power can remain on or be set to Auto to save energy.
Line-Level LFE Input The 220P profiles complete integration with and audio system via Line Level or LFE inputs. The LFE input bypasses the subwoofer's internal low-pass crossover. It is used when you're connecting the subwoofer to the dedicated subwoofer output of a receiver/processor that has its own low-pass crossover network.
Magnetically Attached Grilles Stage 2 has premium details throughout the line including magnetically attached grilles, unique trim rings and the floating front baffle design - upscale features not typically found on loudspeakers in this price range.
Each speaker in the Stage 2 series features Polycellulose ribbed cone woofers. This pure pulp cone has a proprietary mix of other materials added to improve its rigidity and the ribs echo legendary JBL designs. These woofers produce deep, accurate, room filling bass.
300-Watts RMS Amplifier (500 Watts Peak Power)
The built-in high-performance 500-watt amplifier provides impactful and memorable sound quality deserving of the JBL name. The 220P can be placed anywhere in the room and connects to your AVR to create a stereo or multi-channel home theater system with impactful bass and unprecedented performance.
Bass-Reflex Design with Dual Rear-Firing Flared Ports
The Bass-Reflex design of the 220P use dual rear-firing flared ports. This new flared design reduces the velocity of the air when exiting the speaker cabinet, eliminating any chuffing or coloration of output.
