We use a high-quality mass-produced cable to keep cost low and we add 3 of the most cost-effective upgrading techniques developed from our research into high-end cabling to deliver for you clearer sound with tighter and more controlled bass notes, smooth high frequencies, with greater depth of sound and superior stereo imaging.

We find that the extra distortion reducing components we use give better sound quality for the cost than traditional cable design based on using higher-grade cable with superior technical specifications on its own.

XTRA for FIRST UPGRADE Tone Arm cables use 2 cores of copper conductor 0.12 sq. mm with a cotton filler covered in a plastic foil and a braided metal screen and sheathed in PVC. Two such cables are joined together in a figure of 8 construction as a stereo pair. Conductor capacitance is 65pF per metre.

A further braided metal screen over both cable channels further substantially reduces distortion caused by external RF and magnetic fields.

An Expandable flame-retardant braided sleeve with superior acoustic dampening properties that minimize distortion caused by vibration within the cable.

A large 50 mm length ferrite core is fitted to minimize distortion caused by high frequency noise within the cable.
