The AT33PTG/II dual moving coil cartridge features a Microlinear stylus that, with its small curvature radius, delivers low-distortion, high-range performance, even when playing the inner circumference of a record. The Microlinear stylus, which has an average life span of around 1,000 hours, is mounted on a nude tapered boron cantilever with a double damper for reduced weight and better audio quality.
The cartridge’s two coils provide excellent channel separation and are affixed within a strong, lightweight mold made of hard resin to greatly reduce unwanted vibration. The cartridge uses a neodymium magnet and a permendur yoke for dramatically enhanced magnetic energy. The PCOCC (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting) coils ensure pure audio transmission.

Advanced nude tapered boron and weight reduction
This model succeeds in thinning down and shortening the cantilever, compared to the AT33PTG. The coil impedance is also refined from 17W to 10W. We realized significant weight reduction of the vibration system and successfully improved the basic performance and sound quality of the cartridge.
High performance and long-life Microlinear stylus
Microlinear (ML) is a specially polished line contact stylus. This has better high range performance than the conical or elliptical stylus due to its small curvature radius and realizes low distortion and expanding high range reproduction even when playing at the inner circumference of records. And the constancy of the line contact shape is one of its main features with an average product lifetime of around 1000 hours.
